Red-tailed Hawk Thrill

It sat there for over 10 minutes – just a few feet outside my sun porch window.   It allowed me to get the camera and many shots – I think the reflection of sunlight on the window kept it from seeing me.
And I stood right behind it to get a shot of its head feathers being ruffled in the wind.

  1. I love it when you can see detail on a wild animal, particularly birds. Their feathers are so amazingly complex. What a great opportunity!
