Hawk Pattern

This is my neighborhood Sharp Shinned Hawk.  I had thought that the white spots on its back were perhaps leucism (genetic mutation).  But when it poses like this, that pattern seems to be natural and quite a good camouflage in dappled lighting.  I tried to wait until more than its head was in the sunlight, but it had places to be and flew away before being illuminated evenly.
