Journey of the dead man – a waterless stretch of desert in southern New Mexico. A grave with a view. Apparently the final resting place of some beloved pets.

    A lot of Spaniards died trying to cross that hundred mile stretch of desert in the 16th and 17th centuries. That someone’s pet’s grave is a simple memorial to all who perished along that route.
