Hill Blocks View

Please explain this sign to me.  Of course, hills block views – that’s in their job description.  And if they are necessary, shouldn’t there be one of these signs before every hill?  I don’t get it.

    I’d hazard that it’s a warning to drivers that they may be unable to see oncoming vehicles due to the road winding around steep parts of the hill, but that’s only a guess.

    There are signs like that on I-25 just south of Albuquerque. Not exactly a narrow winding road. Just a hill. My favorites in New Mexico are the ones that say “Gusty winds may exist.”
