Several years ago I wrote about Blue, a community dog in Elephant Butte. Our dear Blue has died peacefully at age 16. After he became famous, he raised a lot of money and interest in animal welfare locally. There are Blue postcards and T-shirts and hundreds of stories. Not bad for a rescue dog. He will be missed.
