Palma, New Mexico

Driving north on Highway 3, I saw some rock buildings that had seen better days.  A house on one side of the road and a couple across it.
palma 1Beautiful rock work although the corner of this building has fallen.
palma 3It was a very thick wall to have lost that much material and still not be open to the outside.

palma 2Coming back after the trip north, I saw this sign just south of I-40.  These few buildings are what’s left of Palma, New Mexico.

Fascinating! I have never seen such houses and now I would like to know more about Palma.

    • There isn’t much there. Heading north there was no sign so I thought it was just an abandoned ranch. But on the way back I saw the Palma sign. It was a Place. Don’t know much about it.
