Power poles are common sites for bird nests in the desert and on the plains. This raven has a huge nest made up of the usual sticks and also cloth strips, barbed wire, baling wire and some big pieces of something.

Aren’t birds amazing!
Barbed wire, yowch! Such a contrast with the tiny hummingbird building its nest from spider silk and dandelion fluff. Birds really are amazing!
