A trip taking a friend to the local hospital gave me a chance to see a part of it I hadn’t been in before. And what a glorious place – acres of pink tile on the walls. It was a little odd to be taking photos, but if I could have an hour or two there, I would be so happy and take so many photos of shiny pink tile. It definitely catches your eye. And maybe your stomach.

Pepto-Bismol pink! It took me a few seconds to work out the first ‘clock’.
What does that first clock measure? I’ve never seen one like it before.
It measure seconds in a minute. Was it out in the corridor? it would be useful for counting a pulse, in the days before electronics made manual palpation redundant!
Hmm, it could also measure minutes in an hour. You’ll just have to get back there and ask someone. 🙂
So I’m not the only one who calls that Pepto Bismol pink!
Interesting. I remember that kind of tile . . .
Were you in a maternity ward? Was there a blue tiled room too? Interesting……
Went back this week. Seems there is a blue room, but we were put in a boring salmon colored room with no odd appliances. Also saw a small office that was purple tile. Can’t wait to go back (I’m not the one getting the medical treatments).
