    This image is just wonderful–this is a case of taking something that would not be all that appealing left to its own devices, and giving it mood and depth. It takes skill to take the modern tools of photography and with a light hand do just the right things. Sometimes you’ll see a muddy mess of a photograph where the subject gets lost in the special effects–especially with aged, worn buildings, rusty cars, and other tantalizing discarded objects–and what comes out has none of the balance and beauty of your subject here. You must realize, I hope, that it takes a true artist to get it right. I love your photo.

  3. It’s amazing to me how many of these old deserted gas stations are scattered across the country. While there are variations in how they look, they all ‘feel’ the same to me…perhaps their stories are wanting to be told and not forgotten.
    Your photos help keep those ghosts alive.
