Two bald eagles at the Bosque del Apache, San Antonio, New Mexico. Quite a treat to see them. It incites a small lust for a different lens. Sigh.

I can completely agree with that! Sometimes I wish I had a better zoom on my camera, too.
We have seen them over our neighborhood all winter, on the wing, for the first time ever. I wonder if they are normally further north and have been here because of the abnormally severe cold. But what a treat to see them.
But you put the lens you have to excellent use.
Ah, Mary K – you know I was thinking of you and your wonderful camera there!
So lucky!!!
I have what surely must be a very similar lens lust, ant it’s all on account of birds.
Oh, I know that feeling! But you made me wish I was there to see. I’m crossing my fingers that this is my year to “capture” a baldie:)
This photo makes me long for my native ‘west’ (hubby’s from Las Cruces, I from CO)…sigh…
peace
It’s beautiful along the Rio Grande now – the cottonwoods are just beginning to leaf out. A soft Spring green.
And next in line to bloom are the ocatillo cacti….yum! Enjoy the softness that is Springtime in the desert…
