Mica Window

At the Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico, their early windows were made with thick mica slabs.  There are a few remaining.  The mica is about 2 inches thick, can’t be seen through, but lets light into a home.  This window is about 10 or 12 inches square and set in a thick adobe wall.  mica window
