The lush stand of reeds growing in an abandoned motel pool. Santa Rosa, New Mexico.Named (by me) in honor of Melinda Harvey who showed me so many beautiful photo subjects in Santa Rosa. Check out her blog with her stunning, usually in black & white, photos.

Well, thanks, Donna! This is the first time I’ve had a pool named for me! Where should our next adventure be?
How about the Texas Panhandle north of I-40? Dustbowl area. Or where do you think we should go?
Oh Donna…please do the Texas Panhandle. I had a friend years ago who grew up out in the oil fields “forty miles out of Amarillo”…Am-a-rilla, as he called it. I’ve been through the panhandle on I-40 and on 54 but it was a loooooong time ago.
If our plans come together, we will go soon. But we will go in any case! I like the area – Dustbowl towns.
