Emory Pass View

emory pass view

This is the view east from the Emory Pass viewpoint just after Highway 152 opened while the Silver Fire burned to the north.  Kingston in the center of the photo.  The ridge on the lower left is severely burned; the ones  beyond it are only moderately burned.  I like definition of the ridges – set off by smoke.

So there still smoke from the Silver Fire – thought that would be finished by now. Cheez….

I like that there are still trees up there. After the billowing pyrocumulus clouds day after day, you’d think there would be nothing left at all.
