Having escaped the confines of suburban living rooms, these feral sofas survive in the desert while experts predicted they could not live without carpet.

  1. Feral sofas, to be recycled by birds, packrats, burrowing critters, and maybe target shooters. I had a feral carpet once. Long after the burlap backing had rotted, the indestructible blue-green shags kept turning up in birds’ nests.
