Pancho Villa & Palomas Mexico

I’m not much of a shopper but I’m always up for a trip to Palomas Mexico, a few hours away.  We do this every few months – Nancy buys her tiles there for mosaics.  And I often buy oil cloth – the Pink Store has quite a good selection.  Other not-so-fun activities are visits to the dentist and maybe once a year an eye exam and new glasses.  Not fun, but quite inexpensive!  But today was just shopping.  Well, and eating.

Palomas and the American town just over the border, Columbus, are famous for the battle between Pancho Villa and General Pershing during the Mexican Revolution.  I like the statue of Pancho Villa – I like most statues that include horses!

And I like the color coordinated pigeon that was on the statue for this photo.

  1. What is the name of the eye clinic across the street from the Pink Store?
