Carhenge is on my bucket list!!
And well worth it!
Ah yes, Carhenge, a true Nebraska icon and vacation hot spot!!! As a native of the great State of Nebraska I can assure you there is nothing quite like sunrise on the winter solstice to to inspire a Cornhusker. Each year on that day we dance naked around a giant bonfire at the center of the circle of rusting scrap metal, chanting to the football gods (Bob Devaney and Tom Osborne) praying for another national championship. Unfortunately in recent years our prays have gone unanswered – maybe the naked dancing is the problem. Donna, you should get a picture of that!!!!!! LOL. Ok, I’ve said too much . . .
By the way, Carhenge went up for sale about a year ago for the bargain price of $300,000; imagine the possibilities. LOL
I now have a picture in my mind and that’s more than enough! I think $300K is a great price! Might have to start charging admission though.
